New UbiOps features – version 2.8.0

On the 29th of April 2021 we have released new functionality and made improvements to our UbiOps SaaS. Here is an overview of all new functionality and changes in UbiOps:

R language support

This release, we proudly present support for R (version 4.0) deployments. The R deployments can be created in the same way as Python deployments via the User Interface, by choosing R 4.0 as the language. More information on the structure of the deployment package can be found on and a deployment template can be found on our Github.

Failed request notifications

It is now possible to switch on for a deployment or pipeline version, allowing e-mail notifications to be sent when a request has failed. You can simply enter the email address(es) on which you would like to be notified when you create or edit a version. The e-mail address does not have to belong to a user account of UbiOps. You will also receive one notification when the deployment or pipeline version has not had a failed request for 15 minutes.

Out-of-Memory errors

We have improved the transparency of the logging and added a specific error message to the logs when your deployment runs out of memory. When this happens, you can increase the memory allocation of your deployment to prevent it from happening again.

Updated CLI and Client Libraries

The UbiOps Command Line Interface and Client Libraries have been updated to support the new functionality and the changes that were made.

⚠️ Please update your client libraries to continue using the latest features.

WebApp updates

You can find the usage overview of your organization not only on the dashboard, but on the subscriptions page as well. Furthermore, it’s now possible to set a default version from the overview and the details page of the version by clicking on the clipboard icon. Links to support and documentation are easier to find, as they are reachable via the left sidebar, the help button at the bottom right of the screen and the dashboard.
