UbiOps version 2.40.0¶
Client library version
Python client library version for this release: 4.15.0
CLI version for this release: 2.32.0
On the 7th of Oktober 2026 we have released new functionality and made improvements to UbiOps. An overview of the changes is given below.
Push environments as Docker images¶
Environments can now be created by pushing a Docker image directly, using a standard docker push command, instead of uploading a .zip file. Environments are identified by image tags rather than revisions and builds, to more closely match the structure of conventional image registries. Once an environment tag is is pushed, it is immutable, ensuring consistency and preventing them from being overwritten. Uploading an archive of an image is still supported as an alternative. For more information, see Push your Docker environments to UbiOps.
Cache-aware LLM routing for Services¶
Services can now enable cache-aware LLM routing with a single toggle. When enabled, requests to a service are routed to the instance replica most likely to have a warm cache for that request, reducing time-to-first-token and making more efficient use of your hardware. This is built using the open source project LLM-d. For more information, see cache-aware LLM routing
Events¶
UbiOps now displays important events, such as instances running out of memory or storage, failed instance starts, or capacity issues, without having to go through logs. Events are shown on a new tab on deployment versions, with a banner if there are recent events, and are also available on the Monitoring page and as a tile on the project dashboard. Each event links back to the relevant log line for more context.
Custom entrypoint for deployments¶
Deployment versions now support overriding the entrypoint of their environment image, using new command and args parameters in the deployment version settings. This is useful for environments where the entrypoint can differ between deployments that differs between deployments, such as vLLM images, since it allows the same environment to be reused across multiple deployments.
API /v2¶
The UbiOps API is now available under the /v2 suffix. The previous /v2.1 suffix remains supported for backwards compatibility.
ARM Support¶
UbiOps now supports running deployments and environments on ARM-based infrastructure.
Cluster Logs (UbiOps Private Specific Improvement)¶
Cluster-level logs are now exposed through a dashboard accessible through the admin panel. This can give cluster administrator better insights into the cluster and allows them to retrieve logs from deleted resources as the logs are stored in object storage.
